Best Gold and Silver APIs in India

You can embed gold and silver in an Indian app without building a bullion desk. Your provider choice decides who handles payments, KYC, custody, failed settlements and the user asking where their money went. To assess a self-serve digital gold API, trace a sandbox buy from quote to payment, ledger update and webhook. A live metal price cannot execute that flow.

The video below shows how to fetch metal prices through an API. It does not cover order settlement:

First, decide whether you need transactions or prices

A bullion transaction API creates or redeems a user’s claim on vaulted metal. That requires a customer identity, executable quote, order status, payment and withdrawal paths, custody and failed-order reconciliation. A price API returns market data for charts, alerts or your own pricing logic. It cannot create a customer holding or settle a purchase.

Your feature

API you need

What to verify

In-app gold or silver buy and sell

Bullion transaction API

Quotes, fulfilment, holdings, sale proceeds, refunds and reconciliation

Gold or silver sent as cashback or a reward

Gifting or transfer API

Funding wallet, recipient creation, delivery status and reversal handling

Rate chart or metal-price alert

Price feed

Currency pair, freshness, units and data-use terms

If the customer will own metal in your app, compare transaction providers. For an XAU/INR display, a price feed may be enough.

Best gold and silver APIs in India

OroPocket, PaySprint and AeronPay describe transaction workflows involving both metals. SafeGold describes a digital-gold partnership, while GoldAPI.io supplies price data. The distinction matters if your product needs silver transactions or an executable buy.

Provider

Best fit

Documented integration and metal scope

Commercial detail available here

Important limitation

OroPocket

Teams wanting a self-serve gold and silver transaction sandbox

Hosted webview, raw REST API and gifting; gold and silver across operations

Free: 1% on attributed buys; Pro: 2% plus partner-set markup, with one-time fee

Pro fee and partner float or credit arrangements affect the business case

PaySprint

Teams evaluating MMTC-PAMP-linked gold and silver flows

No transaction commissions apply to a price feed

No purchase, custody or settlement workflow

OroPocket: self-serve bullion flows with a hosted option

OroPocket developer platform home page

At OroPocket’s developer platform, you verify a mobile number and get sandbox keys without a card or approval queue. You can choose a hosted webview, raw REST integration or gifting and rewards. Every operation takes asset_type as gold or silver. One boundary in the hosted whitelabel guide is worth noting: there is no sandbox whitelabel session. Test flows in the API sandbox before connecting the hosted journey.

The hosted path takes one server call and a WebView. OroPocket handles payments, PAN/Aadhaar KYC and end-user support; users onboarded this way are attributed to the partner. On the raw API, you control the interface and OroPocket handles vault custody, bullion supply, GST and the regulatory surface. For rewards, fund a wallet and send metal to an Indian mobile number. OroPocket creates a recipient account if needed. Physical coin delivery works with each path.

A quote locks the INR rate for ten minutes. Idempotency keys are scoped by environment; if fulfilment fails, OroPocket voids the order and refunds the partner wallet. Its HMAC-signed webhooks carry replay-resistant timestamps, retry across six hours and sit in a database queue so they survive a restart. Partners can replay them. They address users by opaque user_code rather than holding the underlying PII, and the ledger moves with the balance in one transaction.

The API sandbox starts with ₹1,00,000 of test float, draws it down on test buys, uses the live market feed and simulates settlement. It sends signed webhooks, can be reset in one call and has deterministic values for KYC rejection and withdrawal failure. It is useful for exercising error states, not just a happy-path demo. It is not a hosted-webview sandbox.

On the Free tier, there are no per-call fees or monthly minimums, and partners earn 1% commission on attributed buys with prepaid float. Pro costs ₹50,000 plus GST once and provides 2% commission, a partner-set markup of up to 5%, a postpaid credit line and priority support. An eligible partner reaching ₹25 lakh of volume in six months receives a ₹50,000 volume bonus. Commission uses OroPocket’s rate, not the markup; gifts and sends carry no commission. On ₹1 lakh of attributed buys at OroPocket’s rate, that is ₹1,000 commission on Free or ₹2,000 on Pro, before any Pro markup. The four-step live onboarding covers company, bank, KYC and agreement, with most applications approved within one business day. The trade-off: if you need Pro economics, model the upfront fee and credit terms against your expected volume before committing.

PaySprint: documented gold and silver quotation and sale

PaySprint developer documentation home page

PaySprint describes MMTC-PAMP gold and silver pricing, transactions and reporting. Its buy-quote request accepts customer ID, amount or quantity and a metal_type of gold or silver. The sell-execution documentation requires a quote ID and customer OTP. You have request shapes for both metals to work from.

The sample host in those documents is a placeholder, not a production endpoint. The referenced pages do not specify partner pricing, callback guarantees, KYC ownership or a hosted flow. Inspect the quote and sell contracts, then get those operational terms before choosing PaySprint.

AeronPay: an explicit gold and silver sell contract

AeronPay developer portal home page

AeronPay documents a gold-and-silver sale endpoint with customer ID, quantity, metal_type and bank details. That is useful if your evaluation hinges on how a metal holding becomes an INR payout, rather than on a rate chart.

That sell request leaves the buying journey, custody, webhook retries, self-serve sandbox and commercial terms unanswered. Get the full order lifecycle before treating AeronPay as a drop-in platform.

SafeGold: digital-gold partnership and app-within-app route

SafeGold website home page

SafeGold describes digital-gold purchase APIs and an app-within-app option. A product team can use the latter to reduce interface work, or use APIs for deeper integration.

The partnership description gives no equivalent silver workflow, public sandbox path, quote-lock duration or partner commission terms. For a silver launch, ask for the buy, sell, holding and delivery contract for that metal, not just the gold contract.

GoldAPI.io: market data, not a bullion provider

GoldAPI.io website home page

GoldAPI.io documents an XAU/INR response with spot price, bid, ask, timestamp and derived per-gram and per-kilogram values. It fits a chart, alert or reference-rate use case. For examples of what an Indian reader sees, compare OroPocket’s gold rates and silver rates; display rates still do not execute a trade. A price feed cannot replace a bullion partner for KYC, custody, customer balances or settlement.

Price-feed usage terms are a separate cost from transaction commissions. For a chart, the feed can be the entire metal integration. A “buy” button requires an execution provider as well.

What to test before committing

Run these cases in a sandbox with the provider’s sample sequence. A clean buy endpoint tells you little about what happens to a stranded payment or a customer complaint.

  1. Quote to settlement: Pin down how long the INR rate stays locked and what happens if the quote expires after payment authorisation. A display price is not an executable quote.

  2. Retry and reversal: Send the same order twice with an idempotency key, then force a fulfilment failure. The metal ledger, payment record and refund should reconcile without manual correction.

  3. Webhooks: Verify signatures, timestamps, retries, replay and event ordering. Store event IDs and make consumers idempotent so a repeated callback cannot credit metal twice.

  4. Gold and silver parity: Run buys, sales, holdings, gifting and delivery for each metal. One endpoint with a metal_type field does not prove parity across the lifecycle.

  5. KYC and support ownership: Pin down who collects PAN/Aadhaar, sees personal data, answers tickets and handles failed withdrawals. Hosted and raw integrations can split these duties differently.

  6. Payout economics: Model buy volume against commission, markup, prefunded float, refunds, one-time fees and settlement timing. Revenue share alone does not describe your cash flow.

Regulatory language needs equal care. Digital gold is not a SEBI-regulated security simply because the partner performs KYC or stores metal in an insured vault. SEBI warns of counterparty and operational risks and says securities-market investor protections are unavailable for these products. State custody, insurance and customer protections separately in your product disclosures. SEBI’s November 2025 caution describes digital-gold products offered by online platforms this way:

“neither notified as securities nor regulated as commodity derivatives” – SEBI

Which integration path fits your product?

Product constraint

Starting point

Why

Ship a working gold-and-silver journey with less UI and support ownership

Hosted webview, such as OroPocket’s

Partner keeps attribution while the host runs payment, KYC and support

Own the customer experience down to the last screen

Raw transaction API

You control UX but must map every failure and support handoff

Send metal as cashback, loyalty or employee rewards

Funded gifting API

Recipient handling and delivery status matter more than a trading screen

Show INR price movement without user holdings

Price feed, such as GoldAPI.io

No bullion execution or custody integration is required

For a small team, start with a low-value sandbox purchase, a sale and a deliberately failed order. Compare the customer view with your ledger and the provider’s event trail. Once you can reconcile each outcome, assess KYC and economics.

The verdict

For a fintech building gold and silver transactions, OroPocket is a practical self-serve digital gold API to try first. You get immediate API sandbox access, hosted and raw paths, defined failure handling and partner economics you can model. Run the sandbox and calculate whether Free or Pro fits your volume. PaySprint and AeronPay have request contracts worth examining, though you still need their operational and commercial terms. SafeGold offers a digital-gold partnership route. Choose GoldAPI.io when you need prices rather than transaction execution.

FAQ

Is there an API that can access gold prices?

Yes. GoldAPI.io documents XAU/INR spot prices with bid, ask and per-gram values. If users must buy or sell vaulted gold, use a bullion transaction API instead of a price feed alone.

Which platform is best for digital gold?

For an Indian app embedding gold and silver transactions, OroPocket is a strong starting point if self-serve sandbox access and a choice of hosted or raw integration matter. PaySprint documents gold and silver quotation and sale flows, while SafeGold offers digital-gold partnerships; compare the full lifecycle, KYC ownership and terms for your use case.
