How to Buy Gold or Silver on OroPocket

Once you have the app, buying takes three taps. You can buy by rupees or by grams, and you do not need to buy a whole gram.

Step 1: Get the app

Download OroPocket from oropocket.com/app, then sign in with your mobile number and the OTP we send you.

Step 2: Open the buy screen

On the home screen, tap BUY GOLD or BUY SILVER under LIVE MARKET. The black + button in the middle of the bottom bar does the same thing.

Step 3: Enter the amount

Type how much you want to spend. The grams you will receive appear underneath.

Two options on this screen worth knowing:

• BUY IN GRAMS switches it around, so you type the quantity and it shows the cost.
• GOLD / SILVER at the top swaps the metal without leaving the screen.

Tap the black button at the bottom when the amount is right.

Step 4: Confirm and pay

This screen shows exactly what you are buying and what it costs.

The rate is locked for five minutes, with the countdown at the top. Pay inside that window and you get the price you were shown. If it runs out, the screen reprices and you start again.

Choose a payment method and complete the payment in your UPI app. Your gold or silver appears in the app as soon as the payment confirms.

What the price includes

The total on the confirmation screen is what leaves your account. Inside it:

• 3% GST, which is the statutory rate on gold and silver
• A 0.25% platform fee

You also earn Bitcoin cashback on the purchase. The amount depends on how much you already hold, and it is shown on the confirmation screen before you pay.

Common questions

What is the smallest amount I can buy? ₹1. You do not need to buy a whole gram.

Can I buy both gold and silver? Yes, but one at a time. Switch the metal at the top of the buy screen.

The price changed before I paid. The lock lasts five minutes. After that the screen reprices at the live rate.

Where does my gold go? It is held in insured custody with Augmont, our vault partner, and shows in the ASSETS row on the home screen.
