Shagun sends real gold to someone’s mobile number. It arrives on WhatsApp as a claim link, and the person receiving it does not need to have the app already.

The gold comes out of your own holding, so you are giving away metal you own rather than buying a voucher.

Step 1: Get the app

Download OroPocket from oropocket.com/app, then sign in with your mobile number and the OTP we send you.

Step 2: Open Shagun

Scroll down the home screen to the SEND A SHAGUN card and tap it.

Step 2: the Shagun card sits further down the home screen.

Step 3: Choose who you are gifting

Pick someone from your contacts, or type any Indian mobile number.

Step 3: any Indian mobile number works, contact or not.

They do not need an OroPocket account. If they are not a user, the claim link walks them through it.

Step 4: Choose how much, and say something

Type an amount, or tap one of the preset amounts.

Step 4: preset amounts, some with a bonus added on top.

Some amounts add a small bonus from us on top, shown under the amount. That bonus applies once a month, not on every gift.

Then add a message. It goes with the gift, so this is the part that makes it a gift rather than a transfer.

Step 5: Slide to send

The last step is a slide, not a tap. That is deliberate.

A Shagun gift cannot be undone. There is no cancel and no refund once it is sent, so check the number before you slide. The gift itself never expires, so there is no rush at the other end.

What the other person sees

They get a WhatsApp message with a claim link. Opening it shows who sent it, the message, and the gold waiting for them. Claiming puts the gold in their own holding, where they can keep it, sell it, or have it delivered as a coin.

Common questions

Can I send silver? No. Shagun is gold only.

Do they need the app first? No. The claim link works for someone who has never used OroPocket.

Can I cancel it? No. There is no refund path once a gift is sent.

Does it expire? No.

Where does the gold come from? Your own holding, which is why you need gold before you can send any.
