How to Send Gold or Silver to Someone on OroPocket

Sending moves metal out of your holding and into someone else’s, by mobile number. It is four steps and the app counts them for you.

This is not the same as a Shagun gift. Sending is a plain transfer, with no envelope and no message.

Step 1: Get the app

Download OroPocket from oropocket.com/app, then sign in with your mobile number and the OTP we send you.

Step 2: Open Send and pick the metal

Tap VIEW ALL in the ASSETS row, tap the metal you hold, then tap SEND at the bottom of that screen.

Gold and silver each show their live per-gram rate, so you can see what you are sending before you pick.

Step 3: Enter who is receiving

Type their mobile number, or pick from your contacts. People you have sent to before appear under RECENT.

Step 4: Choose how much

Type an amount in rupees, or tap one of the quick amounts. MAX sends everything you hold in that metal.

The screen shows your balance in both grams and rupees, and the maximum you can send, so it is hard to overshoot by accident.

Then confirm on the last screen, and the metal moves.

What it costs

There is a 0.25% platform fee, and it works in your recipient’s favour: the amount you type is what they receive, and the fee is added on top of what leaves your account. You are not quietly shaving a slice off their gift.

Common questions

Does the other person need the app? They need an OroPocket account to hold the metal. If you want to send to someone who has never used it, a Shagun gift is the one that works.

Can I send Bitcoin? Not to another user this way. Bitcoin is withdrawn to your own wallet instead.

Can I cancel a transfer? No. Check the number before you confirm.

Is there a limit? You can send up to what you hold, which the amount screen shows you.

Does it cost the recipient anything? No. They receive the full amount you entered.
