A price alert watches the rate for you and sends a notification when it reaches the number you picked. It saves opening the app to check.

Step 1: Get the app

Download OroPocket from oropocket.com/app, then sign in with your mobile number and the OTP we send you.

Step 2: Open the metal you want to watch

Tap VIEW ALL in the ASSETS row on the home screen, then tap GOLD or SILVER.

The bell icon in the top right of that screen is the alert.

Step 2: the bell in the top right of the metal's screen.

Step 3: Pick your target price

Two decisions on this screen.

Step 3: pick buy or sell price, then set the target.

Buy price or sell price. These are different numbers and the gap between them is real, so pick the one that matches what you are planning. Watch the buy price if you are waiting to buy in, and the sell price if you are waiting to cash out.

The target. The box starts at the current rate. Type a number, or use the -2% / -1% / +1% / +2% buttons to nudge it. The app tells you if your target is still sitting on today’s price, because an alert set at the current rate fires immediately and tells you nothing.

You do not choose a direction. If your target is above the current rate, the alert waits for a rise. If it is below, it waits for a fall.

Step 4: Decide if it repeats

Repeat this alert is off by default, so the alert fires once and then stops. Leave it off for a one-time “tell me when gold hits this”, and turn it on if you want to keep being told.

Tap SET ALERT. Notifications arrive through the app, so leave notifications switched on for it.

Common questions

How many alerts can I set? More than one, across both metals.

Does it cost anything? No.

What happens after it fires? With repeat off, it stops. You can re-arm the same alert or set a new one.

Will it wake me at 3am? It fires whenever the rate hits your number, and metal prices move around the clock. Set the target with that in mind.

Can I delete an alert? Yes, from the same bell.
