A SIP buys a fixed amount of gold or silver for you automatically, on a schedule you choose. Setting one up takes about a minute, and the money is collected from your bank by UPI AutoPay.

Step 1: Get the app

Download OroPocket from oropocket.com/app, then sign in with your mobile number and the OTP we send you.

Step 2: Open SIP

Tap SIP in the row of buttons under your net worth on the home screen.

If you already have SIPs, tap START ANOTHER SIP at the top of the list.

Step 3: Pick a goal

Choose what you are saving for. This only names the SIP, so pick whatever is closest, or CUSTOM GOAL to write your own.

Step 4: Set the metal, amount and frequency

Choose gold or silver, type the amount for each instalment, then pick DAILY, WEEKLY or MONTHLY.

Step 4: metal, amount per instalment, then how often it runs.

The minimum is ₹100 per instalment. The buttons under the amount box are shortcuts, not limits, so you can type any figure above the minimum.

Tap START SIP at the bottom.

Step 5: Approve the mandate

You will be sent to your UPI app to approve an AutoPay mandate. This is the standing instruction that lets us collect each instalment.

Approve it there and come back. The first instalment is collected when the mandate activates, and after that it runs on its own.

Stopping a SIP

Open the SIP from MY SIPs and choose to stop it. There is no lock-in and no penalty for stopping.

Stopping is the only option, though. There is no way to put a SIP on hold and pick it up again later, so if you stop one and want it back, you create a new one.

Common questions

What is the minimum? ₹100 per instalment.

Can I change the amount later? No. Stop the SIP and start a new one with the amount you want.

What if my bank balance is short on the day? The instalment fails and the SIP continues. Nothing is cancelled by one missed collection.

Can I have more than one? Yes.

Do I earn Bitcoin cashback on SIP instalments? Yes, the same as a one-off purchase.

Set it once, and leave it

Put a fixed amount into 24K gold or 999 silver on a schedule you choose, with no lock-in, and stop it whenever you like.
